Yesterday Andy Roddick played the last match of his tennis career. He fought hard, but Juan Martin Del Potro played a great match and came out on top. Tears started rolling from Roddick a few points from the end of the match. Later in the press conference he would say that he was closing his eyes and seeing his mother dropping him off for tennis practice when he was just a kid. The crowd cheered wildly as he walked off the court for the last time. I felt privileged to have snuck over for the last few points of the last set.
