USA World Cup Sendoff

Last year I was happy to shoot the US Men's National Team two weeks before they shipped off to World Cup 2014 Brazil, and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to shoot the US Women's National Team this past Saturday one week before their first match in World Cup 2015 Canada.

Though the match could have seen a little more excitement, ending in a 0-0 tie to another WC 2015 team Korea, a lot of different players got playing time on the pitch, and probably more importantly, no one got hurt.  Red Bull Arena was packed to the gills with a sell-out crowd.  Many of us photographers were whispering to each other that we didn't really get too many shots, but with the new white uniforms, the day actually turned into a decent portrait session.

I always feel like it's an honor and a pleasure shooting any of the US Teams; this weekend didn't feel any different, and though I probably won't get to shoot them in the actual World Cup I'll be cheering them on wherever I'll be!
