Red Bulls Continue to Slide

The New York Red Bulls continued their slide this past Saturday at home falling to Sporting Kansas City 0-2.  The Red Bulls sit one spot above last place in the Eastern Conference with only one win and four losses.  With so many empty seats in the stands I decided to shoot from the mezzanine, and with a lack of shots on goal played around with a slower shutter speed to blur motion.  Hope you like!

Eastern Conference Finals

Though the New York Red Bulls maintained the best record in the MLS through this past Sunday, they couldn't hold off the Columbus Crew through two legs of the MLS Eastern Conference Finals.  The Red Bulls lost on the road in Columbus 0-2 Thanksgiving week which meant they'd need to win by a greater margin at home this past Sunday at home at Red Bull Arena.  In the end their 1-0 home victory wouldn't be enough for a finals bid and they find themselves in the same position as last year missing out on the finals.  From the sidelines, we were all hoping they could put together better passing combinations and bring possession into Columbus's half more.  We would have all loved a New York City MLS final, but give thanks to another great season and look forward to next year!  On another note, I put a nice burn mark from a flare someone lit on my foot, but enjoyed my first experience marching to the stadium with the supporters.  Pictures above..hope you like!

Eight Goal Game

New York City FC continues picking on teams from the great white north by picking up a point off of Toronto FC with a 4-4 tie.  Three notable US Team stars were absent on Gold Cup Duty: Mix Diskerud, Jozy Altidore, and Michael Bradley.  Sunday's game marked the debut of two possible stand-out stars, the experienced Andoni Iraola and the fierce new young gun Angelino.  NYCFC's next home game against Orlando FC will (hopefully) feature two even bigger stars, Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo.  NYC still hangs in the playoff hunt despite a mediocre start to their season; anything is possible as they keep adding firepower to the lineup.  How all these new names will mesh however remains to be seen.
