The New York Red Bulls clinched a spot in the playoffs Saturday with a 2-2 nail-biter against the New England Revolution. Fabian Espindola scored an early goal to a raucous hometown crowd. The Red Bulls carried that through the 85th minute until Lee Nguyen tied things up to a controversial penalty kick. The Revolution went up by one goal minutes later changing the whole tone of the game. Everything came down to one last Red Bulls free kick from near the corner; even goalie Luis Robles left his line to jump in the mix. Midfielder Tim Cahill was able to get a head on the ball after a bit of bouncing around to put in the back of the next in the 97th minute.
I've never seen a more electric crowd, especially for the size; I literally had goosebumps.
